XMAS JESENIK OPEN

XMAS JESENÍK OPEN is a chess festival organized by the Jeseník Chess Club during the winter holidays between Christmas and New Year's Eve from 26th to 31st December.

It takes place entirely at the Secondary Industrial School in Jesenik, where we will be happy to arrange accommodation and is suitable for chess players of all ages and any level of chess.

It will be played in one group with an interesting financial fund supplemented by trophies and prizes in kind for the winners of the categories of boys and girls up to 10, 12, 14 and 18 years, for the best woman and senior born 1961 and older.

In addition to the main 9-round tournament, a Cooldown rapid tournament will be played on 28 December and a blitz tournament on New Year's Eve 31 December. All tournaments are registered on FIDE ELO.

All chess boards of the main and rapid tournaments will be streamed online at lichess.org. We will post a link to the online broadcast one month before the start of both tournaments on the festival website. Anticheating measure - the broadcast of the main tournament will be delayed by 15 minutes.

Skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts can also use the tournament to visit the numerous ski resorts and ski areas in the area. In suitable snow conditions, cross-country skiing trails and a ski slope are also available in Jeseník.

Jeseníky is one of the most visited mountain ranges in the Czech Republic.
